The Dometic 3, 4, & 5 cuft fridges are very efficient as long as the cooling unit boiler is not allowed to overheat. The problem with these refrigerators is that they are mostly found in slide-in campers, class-b, and other everyday driver type RV conversions. As a result there is a high failure rate due to off-level use and other factors associated with everyday driving that destroys the cooling unit. These refrigerators have the controls on top of the fridge, thus the fridge needs to be moved out to access the top controls. In addition, a relay and thermocouple adapter are required, these parts are not provided with the standard Fridge Defend kits.

Please see the full ARP User Manual and Installation Guide for more information needed before using your ARPrv Control.
For the manual type control where one has to hold down a button and ignite the LP gas, the Norcold part number 621737 thermocouple interrupt adaptor is required. This photo is an RM2353 with the interrupt adaptor installed and wired to a relay which is controlled by the ARP Control.
This drawing shows how the Norcold Part Number 621737 and Tyco Relay Part Number
0-1432793 are combined to turn off the LP Gas in the event that the boiler overheats.
The interrupt adaptor is inserted between the thermocouple and the gas safety valve
as seen in the photo above. Keep the orange and blue wires, as seen in this drawing,
as short as possible, that is mount the relay as close as it can to the interrupt adaptor.
Also, use as heavy gauge wire as practical for the the orange and blue wires.
This circuit is very low voltage, thus any resistance can result in issues.
